South of the Interstate 24/75 split near the Tennessee/Georgia state

Setting up a store is easy. First you need a product or service
that you want to sell. Complete the "Rules & Regulations" form
available for the flea market manager, Ginger Long, and pick out you
location to setup your store. The indoor stores offer full time
security, so you can leave your products in place during the week while
the flea market is closed.
For indoor vendors, our policy is to allow all vendors, in good
standing, to stay as long as they want. Therefore we can only rent
you an indoor space when we have a vacancy. It is very hard to
predict when we will have a vacancy, as we are usually 100% full.
The best way to get an indoor space is to place your name on our wait
list. We have more turnover with our outside spaces and you can
call the flea market at (423) 894-3960 on Mondays to see if we have an
outdoor space available for the following weekend.
The flea market prohibits the sale of the following; food that will
be consumed on the premises, alcoholic beverages, fireworks,
objectionable printed material, films and books, used items in the
indoor market, (We love antiques, collectibles and memorabilia) and
counterfeit or look-alike merchandise. The sale of grocery store
products is also limited see the flea market manager, if you want to
sell grocery items.
The rental fee to operate a store at the flea market can
be paid either weekly or monthly. We give you a discount, if you
pay by the month. We are only open on Saturday and Sunday.
Our rental rates vary depending on the size and location of the space
rented. The fee is quoted on a daily basis, so you will only pay
for two days rent each week, except for some extra days during
Thanksgiving and Christmas when we sometimes open during the week.
The days charged for a monthly rental will depend on the number of
weekend days in the month. It will be either 8 or 10 days.
In addition to the rent, you are required to have a city
and county business license and a state of Tennessee resale permit.
You can secure these item directly from the governing body or the flea
market can sell you these licenses and permits. The business
license is $1.00 per day for the city and $1.00 per day for the county.
The state resale permit is available for $5.00 per calendar month,
$15.00 per quarter or $45.00 per calendar year. This is a
prepayment of the sales tax that you owe and you must file these returns
either monthly, quarterly or yearly depending on which permit you
purchase.
The flea market has a
limited amount of outside spaces. Some are located in the rear of
the market and some are in the front. The flea market allows used,
garage sale, items to be sold only in the rear outside market spaces.
Please call the flea market for availability of outside selling spaces.
The flea market has a
state of the art security system monitored by ADT. But, the flea
market assumes no reasonability for any physical loss or damage to a
vendors property. The flea market has made arrangements with a
local insurance broker for any vendors that wish to insure their
products. Please see the flea market management for details.
